Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and bakery products according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
Assist the Pastry Chef in daily production, menu preparation, and special events.
Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling of pastry ingredients.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the pastry kitchen.
Operate and maintain pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and timely service.
Train and guide Commis and junior pastry team members when required.
Minimize wastage and maintain proper cost control.
Follow hotel standards, HACCP requirements, and departmental SOPs.

Diploma or certificate in Pastry, Bakery, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pastry/bakery operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
Good knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Creative, passionate, and committed to maintaining high-quality pastry standards.
